R K Misra wrote another great article on Times Of India. I have been thinking of writing a similar article when I heard Nandan Nilekani highlighting that 2009 elections are different since these elections are based on 2001 census. The 2001 census shows that a larger chunk of Indians now stay in urban areas. Hence there are more urban seats in this election. People like you and me, who always thought that Indian government is elected by the uneducated village voters is no more true. We have a bigger say now! There are 120+ seats from urban areas out of 543 seats in these elections. So please vote and make a difference.

i want to vote but the question is that to whom we vote because i dont think so is there any party who actually or firstly want to do work for our country and for our people… they firstly work for their benefits and to save their chairs….. govt spend lots of money in the compensation of mla’s and IS…. but whats the need to spend crores of money on them… one side there are people in our country who even didnt get the food for two times in a day…..
hum vote karein ya na karein jo bhi sarkar aaygi apne hisab se apne faayde aur apni kursi k liye kaam karegi…. to kya antar hai dono cheezo mein ki voting ho ya nahi agar yh celebraties humein samjhane ki jagah neta logo ko amjahyein to jyada accha hai kyonki unhe vote ka matlab aur ahmiyat nahi pata hai unke liye yeh bus kursi paane ka ek tarika hai thats all…..
India has a lot of talent and potential but then right people are not there in the right positions. Though i voted for a candidate in whom i believed n who would change the fate of the country, there are hardly any chances of new independent parties winning!…
We have only limited choice to vote .We have to choose between two or three persons in the list and not from outside the list.
Yes, we have very limited options to choose. Only two or three parties are on top and we have to choose one of them. Also people are not think it as important duty. They think mere vote se kya hoga.
We have to change our mind.
only electing and ruling is not part of democracy if government only gives importans to the previleged person only than what about poor people living in villages and slums.Every year in world’s rich person category 3 to 5 are from india despite our population living below poverty line
