Why are we not angry on what happened to Prashant Bhushan?

This is just not acceptable. Period. Everyone has a right to voice his/her opinion in a functioning democracy. There should be zero tolerance for any kind of violence. How can anyone slap someone just because this person is expressing his personal views on a subject? This is ridiculous -  Stupid jerk and Prashant Bhushan . What is making me restless is how come I am not angry enough on this incident? We have become so immune to such behavior, injustice, corruption that I wonder if we can ever get rid of such ridiculous things from our country. I am out of ideas. Let me know if you have ideas on how I can show my rejection to such stupid doctrine.

I applaud Prashant Bhushan to keep his composure and sticking to his opinions and beliefs. I wonder what we can do to end this mis-guided, mis-placed patriotism. This false sense of jingoism should be eradicated. Enough is enough.

Because of Nehru placing Ram idol in Babri mosque, we had some awareness among Sadhus, Sants, Sanyasia, Bishoos , Nagas , Muslims and helped several organisations develop to build and strengthen nationalism, spirtualism and chauvinism too. Later, Rajiv Gandhi and PV Narsimha Rao too added some spice too those in later years.

What is wrong in having same with Kasmir Referendum too?.

I Condemn attacks on Prashant Bushan. I suspect some racism and bias in attack over him. Even, Arundati Roy and Aruna Roy spoke several times about Kashmir Referendum. Why no attacks on them?.

Thanks for the comments Neha. I am not questioning why Prashant Bhushan and why not Arundhati Roy and Aruna Roy.. I am questioning why violence? And why are we not angry enough on such cowardly, nonsense, stupid acts of violence? Everyone has a right to say what they feel and we all should have a respect for difference in opinions in a political system. Democracy may mean at times that you are compromising on what you feel is best and settling on something which is of least resistance. One cannot use physical force to shut others up. These guys should be brought to book. There is no place for such hooligans in the society.

How come when Mr. Bhushan makes a statement, he is expressing an opinion, but when he gets thrashed those people are not expressing theirs? Don’t they deserve the same fundamental democratic right?
Disclaimer: I am not related to the gentlemen who shared their opinion with Mr. Bhushan. But if someone starts thinking about breaking up my motherland one more time, I think that’s sedition.
